{"id":16060,"date":"2021-12-14T09:39:39","date_gmt":"2021-12-14T14:39:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/zdf-enterprises-inks-u-s-drama-deal-viaplay\/"},"modified":"2021-12-14T11:05:28","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T16:05:28","slug":"zdf-enterprises-inks-u-s-drama-deal-with-viaplay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/zdf-enterprises-inks-u-s-drama-deal-with-viaplay\/","title":{"rendered":"ZDF Enterprises Inks U.S. Drama Deal with Viaplay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ZDF Enterprises has sealed a deal that sees 11 Scandinavian dramas from its catalog debut on the Viaplay streaming service that will launch in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>The package deal includes the new series <em>Grow<\/em>, a thriller about two brothers on colliding paths in life, and <em>Huss<\/em>, inspired by Helene Tursten\u2019s best-selling novels.<\/p>\n<p>It also features <em>Thicker Than Water<\/em>, a family saga that uncovers hidden truths and dark secrets, and the political thriller <em>Blue Eyes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Team<\/em>, portraying a group of European police officers fighting international crime, is included along with its follow-up <em>Team Reloaded<\/em>. The Scandinavian noir drama <em>Stockholm Requiem<\/em>, from Piodor Gustafsson, will also premiere on Viaplay US.<\/p>\n<p>Further titles include <em>The Dying Detective<\/em>, based on the eponymous novel by Leif GW Persson, as well as the crime dramas <em>Johan Falk<\/em>, based on actual Swedish criminal cases from SSI files; <em>The Protectors<\/em>, which focuses on the lives and missions of specialist bodyguards; and <em>Top Dog<\/em>, featuring a lawyer and ex-con who collaborate to solve cases.<\/p>\n<p>Yi Qiao, director ZDFE.drama, ZDF Enterprises, said: \u201cOur catalog is unrivaled when it comes to top-quality Scandinavian drama, with titles from Emmy Award-winning creators and Oscar-nominated producers.
