{"id":16042,"date":"2021-12-09T09:00:46","date_gmt":"2021-12-09T14:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2021-12-09T10:21:13","modified_gmt":"2021-12-09T15:21:13","slug":"bet-orders-tyler-perrys-sistas-spin-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/bet-orders-tyler-perrys-sistas-spin-off\/","title":{"rendered":"BET+ Orders Tyler Perry&#8217;s Sistas Spin-Off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BET+ and Tyler Perry Studios have greenlit the new drama <em>Tyler Perry&#8217;s Zatima<\/em>, a spin-off from <em>Tyler Perry&#8217;s Sistas<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The ten-episode, one-hour series follows Zac (Devale Ellis) and Fatima (Crystal Renee Hayslett) as they navigate the ups and downs of their relationship. <em>Zatima<\/em> began production at Tyler Perry Studios this week and is slated to premiere on BET+ in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement of <em>Tyler Perry&#8217;s Zatima<\/em> comes as the <em>Tyler Perry&#8217;s Sistas<\/em> season three finale is set to air on December 22 on BET and BET Her. The finale will be followed by a new episode of <em>The Tyler Perry Show: The Sistas After-Show Edition<\/em>, giving viewers exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Perry&#8217;s hit series and the cast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are continuing to strengthen our investment in quality programming, and our partnership with Tyler Perry has a proven track record of super-serving our audience,\u201d said Scott Mills, BET&#8217;s president and CEO. \u201cWe look forward to unlocking crossover viewership opportunities between our linear platform and our streaming service with one of our strongest series, <em>Sistas<\/em>.
