The story begins within seconds of a fatal event and depicts the physical, psychological and social consequences of a tragedy that is far too common today but often unforeseen and unavoidable.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Duo Productions, the series stars Karine Vanasse (<em>Pan Am<\/em>, <em>Revenge<\/em>, <em>Cardinal<\/em>, <em>Polytechnique<\/em>, <em>Switch<\/em>) and is directed by Louis Choquette (<em>Les Honorables<\/em>, <em>Mirage<\/em>, <em>Philarmonia<\/em>, <em>Mafiosa<\/em>, <em>Mirador<\/em>, <em>Le Gentleman<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>CBC &amp; Radio-Canada Distribution secured the deal with Terence Films.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>After<\/em> tells a powerful story about facing trauma, grief and resilience,\u201d said Mia Desroches, director of global distribution for scripted and kids&#8217; content at CBC &amp; Radio-Canada Distribution. \u201cWe are extremely proud of this high impact and compelling limited series; it is a great property, and we are very excited to be working with Banijay and Terence Films to adapt it for new international audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Denis Leroy, head of scripted formats at Banijay France, added, \u201cFrench-speaking Canada has always been a place for strong and innovative drama, and we are so happy to be partnering again with Radio-Canada on this latest series.
