Cineflix Rights has unveiled its MIPCOM scripted slate, which includes Rebecca<\/em>, an official selection at Series Mania 2021.<\/p>\n

Produced by Elephant and based on the hit series Marcella<\/em>, Rebecca<\/em> centers on the eponymous woman who returns to the police force after quitting six years prior. When she comes back, she becomes convinced a killer from her past has resurfaced.<\/p>\n

“The series is filled with enough red herrings, twists and turns and a heart-wrenching journey of loss and redemption to keep viewers gripped through every episode,” says James Durie, head of scripted at Cineflix Rights.<\/p>\n

Irvine Welsh’s Crime<\/em>, from Buccaneer Media, is adapted from the acclaimed author’s best-selling book Crime<\/em>. It follows as Detective Inspector Ray Lennox undertakes criminal investigations while engaged in his own battle. Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible 2<\/em>) stars.<\/p>\n

From Yoav Gross Productions, Manayek<\/em> sees an investigator stumble upon a police corruption case in which the prime suspect is his best friend. The series won Best Drama Series, Best Screenplay for a Drama Series, Best Director, Best Leading Actor and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 2021 Israeli Academy of Film and Television Awards.<\/p>\n

“We’re very excited to be launching these three fantastic new series to the international market this fall,” Durie says.<\/p>\n

In addition, Cineflix Rights picked up a second season of Happily Married<\/em>, which sees two middle-class couples in crisis after dropping their kids at summer camp in July 1974. Their search for marital bliss leads them into a life of murder and criminality, ultimately becoming the most infamous criminal quartet in Qu\u00e9bec history.<\/p>\n

Also on Cineflix Rights’ slate are returning seasons of espionage thriller Tehran<\/em>, global hit Coroner<\/em>, supernatural series Wynonna Earp<\/em>, International Emmy-winning Marcella<\/em>, Series Mania-winning An Ordinary Woman<\/em>, cozy crime series Whitstable Pearl<\/em>, espionage series Mirage<\/em> and political drama The Minister<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The film slate includes two holiday features: An Ice Wine Christmas<\/em> and Miracle in Motor City<\/em>. Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story<\/em> is also available.<\/p>\n
