The acquisition marks the first international deal for the Canal+ Creation Originale.<\/p>\n<p>Created and written by Deborah Davis (<em>The Favourite<\/em>), Marie Antoinette tells the story of the modern and avant-garde young queen, played by Emilia Sch\u00fcle (<em>Ku\u2019damm 56<\/em>\/<em>63<\/em>). The writing team also includes Louise Ironside (<em>The Split<\/em>), Avril E. Russell (<em>All on a Summer\u2019s Day<\/em>) and Chlo\u00eb Moss (<em>Run Sister Run<\/em>). The series is directed by Pete Travis (<em>Bloodlands<\/em>) and Geoffrey Enthoven (<em>Children of Love<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Chris Stewart, senior VP of sales for the U.K. and Eire at Banijay Rights, said: \u201c<em>Marie Antoinette<\/em> is an extraordinary fresh new take on one of France\u2019s most iconic\u2014and controversial\u2014figures, filled with stunning scenery, fine performances and epic costumes.
