Grant and Sam Heughan.<\/p>\n<p><em>Suspect<\/em> (w\/t) is an adaptation of the original Danish series <em>Forh\u00f8ret<\/em> by Christoffer Boe and Miso Film. It centers on veteran detective Danny Frater (Nesbitt), who embarks on a mission to uncover the truth about his estranged daughter\u2019s alleged suicide after learning of her death when doing a routine ID check on a young woman\u2019s body.<\/p>\n<p>Anne-Marie Duff (<em>Sex Education<\/em>, <em>Shameless<\/em>), Ben Miller (<em>Professor T<\/em>, <em>Bridgerton<\/em>), Niamh Algar (<em>Deceit<\/em>, <em>Censor<\/em>), Antonia Thomas (<em>The Good Doctor<\/em>, <em>Small Axe<\/em>), Sacha Dhawan (<em>The Great<\/em>, <em>Doctor Who<\/em>) and Imogen King (<em>Clique<\/em>, <em>Hotel Portofino<\/em>) join the aforementioned in the cast.<\/p>\n<p>Nesbitt, said: &#8220;I could relate to Danny, with his flaws, vulnerabilities and the devastating situation he faces, from the very first moment I picked up the script. Each episode of <em>Suspect<\/em> (w\/t) is an intensely theatrical double-hander, a psychological battle of wits between Danny and another character who may know something about his daughter&#8217;s untimely death, and I really can&#8217;t wait to lock horns with my fellow cast members and to lead this incredible array of acting talent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Caroline Hollick, Channel 4&#8217;s head of drama, said: \u201cI am absolutely delighted to welcome James Nesbitt back to Channel 4 to take the lead in this gripping, visceral thriller.
