Mutually Assured Destruction<\/em> and <em>The Sleeper<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Per the agreement, Escapade will seek Australian, New Zealand and Asian partners for <em>M.A.D. Mutually Assured Destruction<\/em>, a drama series that centers on a young Australian woman named Martha, who is working at the UN in 1956. It is based on a biography about Povl Bang-Jensen\u00a0written by Bo Lidegaard.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Sleeper<\/em> is an adaptation of the Emily Barr novel of the same name. The series is written by Mark Greig (<em>No Offence<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Marcella<\/em>) and directed by Catherine Moreshead (<em>Pennyworth<\/em>, <em>The One<\/em>). StoryFirst\u2019s Dominic Barlow (<em>The Discovery of Witches<\/em>, <em>Mr Selfridge<\/em>) is executive producing the series, which is produced by Jo Southwell (<em>Cold Night Rising<\/em>, <em>Deirdre<\/em>) of Aston Productions.<\/p>\n<p>Barlow commented: \u201cWorking with Escapade Media has been an incredibly collaborative process, using their expertise to further enhance well-developed projects to enable us to reach new and exciting markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Natalie Lawley, Escapade&#8217;s managing director, said: \u201cThe caliber of the projects that StoryFirst have developed is exceptional. It is a privilege to be working with this company and their team. Escapade believes both of these projects will offer the Asia-Pacific marketplace prime-time, original drama.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Damien Naughton, Escapade\u2019s Central and Eastern Europe consultant, added: \u201cIt was a natural fit to bring together these two outstanding creative and development companies.
