Production has started in London on Abi Morgan\u2019s returning drama The Split<\/em> for its third and final season.<\/p>\n

Nicola Walker, Annabel Scholey and Fiona Button are returning as the Defoe sisters, alongside Deborah Findlay, who plays their formidable mother Ruth, and Stephen Mangan, who plays Hannah\u2019s husband Nathan. The production has also revealed the return of Christie, played by Barry Atsma, the catalyst to the breakdown of Hannah and Nathan\u2019s marriage in season two.<\/p>\n

Set in the fast-paced, complex world of London\u2019s high-end divorce circuit, The Split<\/em> is created by Abi Morgan (River<\/em>, Suffragette<\/em>, The Hour<\/em>) and executive produced by Jane Featherstone (Chernobyl<\/em>, Giri-Haji<\/em>, Utopia<\/em>), Lucy Dyke (Black Mirror<\/em>, Ripper Street<\/em>) and Lucy Richer (Small Axe<\/em>, The Salisbury Poisonings<\/em>, The A Word<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The Split<\/em> season will air in 2022 on BBC One in the U.K. In the U.S., the third season will air on BBC America and be available to stream on AMC Networks\u2019 streaming service Sundance Now, which also has the first two seasons available now to watch anytime.<\/p>\n

Morgan said: \u201cFor every writer there are characters that stay with them, long after a show is over, Hannah Defoe and her family are just that, and it\u2019s been a welcome balm after a difficult year globally, to reunite this brilliant cast. The Split<\/em> has been building to this exhilarating final act for the Defoes as they navigate their way through the marital make-up and break-up, both personally and professionally, at Noble, Hale and Defoe. They say you can\u2019t have new beginnings without endings, and I want to say a big thank you to the BBC and AMC, and the fans who have kept running by our side.\u201d<\/p>\n
