The series is filming across the summer and stars Natascha McElhone (<em>Ronin<\/em>, <em>Californication<\/em>, <em>Halo<\/em>), Mark Umbers (<em>Home Fires<\/em>) and Anna Chancellor (<em>Four Weddings and a Funeral<\/em>, <em>The Hour<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>PBS Distribution has the North American distribution rights, and ITV and BritBox have acquired <em>Hotel Portofino<\/em> for the U.K. audience. Sky Italia licensed rights for the series in Italy and Foxtel in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Andrea Downing, president of PBS Distribution, said: \u201cWe are thrilled to be bringing to U.S. and Canadian audiences the first original series coming from Eagle Eye. This beautifully crafted series will have viewers immersed in an intensely lush production filled with mystery,\u00a0intrigue, and drama, all within the backdrop of Portofino, one of Europe\u2019s most magnificent coastal towns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walter Iuzzolino, CEO of Eagle Eye Drama, added: \u201cThis is a hugely important and exciting new creative chapter for Eagle Eye; <em>Hotel Portofino<\/em> is our very first original series, from an idea which was developed in-house. The series was inspired by my hometown and we\u2019re grateful to PBS Distribution who have been incredibly supportive and collaborative partners on this project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oliver Bachert, executive VP of international sales and acquisitions at Beta Film, added: \u201cBeta Film is delighted to embark on our second cooperation with Eagle Eye and we are very impressed by the talent that Walter was able to assemble.
