{"id":14942,"date":"2021-05-14T09:34:53","date_gmt":"2021-05-14T13:34:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/nent-groups-porni-renewed\/"},"modified":"2021-05-14T10:44:38","modified_gmt":"2021-05-14T14:44:38","slug":"nent-groups-porni-renewed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/nent-groups-porni-renewed\/","title":{"rendered":"NENT Group\u2019s P\u00f8rni Renewed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has renewed the Norwegian comedy-drama series <em>P\u00f8rni<\/em> for a second and third season.<\/p>\n<p>Created by and starring Henriette Steenstrup (<em>Ragnarok<\/em>, <em>Lilyhammer<\/em>, <em>Beware of Children<\/em>), two new seasons of the show will continue the bittersweet story of P\u00f8rni (Steenstrup), a middle-aged single parent who always puts others first while wanting more from life for herself. The second season of <em>P\u00f8rni<\/em> is currently filming in Oslo and is set to premiere exclusively on Viaplay in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Returning cast members from the first season include Jon Ranes (<em>Out Stealing Horses<\/em>), Vivild Falk Berg, Gunnar Eiriksson (<em>Twin<\/em>), Johanna M\u00f8rck and Nils Ole Oftebro, with Charlotte Blom continuing as director. The series is produced by Monster. <em>P\u00f8rni<\/em> set a new record for the most successful premiere of a Norwegian Viaplay Original when launching on NENT Group\u2019s Viaplay streaming service in early May.<\/p>\n<p>Steenstrup said: \u201cThe reception so far has been incredibly good and then suddenly the idea of making more <em>P\u00f8rni<\/em>\u00a0became extremely frightening, but of course it\u2019s very exciting too. We have so many plans for the next two seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Filippa Wallestam, NENT Group\u2019s chief content officer, said: \u201cFamily life sometimes feels like one long dilemma, which might be why <em>P\u00f8rni<\/em> has immediately struck a chord with audiences. This is a show about a women\u2019s balancing act that itself gets the balance just right: <em>P\u00f8rni<\/em> is at once comic and tragic, sometimes awkward but most of all incredibly charming.
