ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) is working with Fasten Films on the drama series Pastor<\/em>, created and written by Natxo L\u00f3pez (Stolen Away<\/em>, Caronte<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The 10×50-minute series centers on Antonio, a committed but controversial priest who has spent years working for the most disadvantaged while leading a life full of contradictions and sin. Driven by the rage and frustration from the injustices he witnesses in his daily life, Antonio ends up crossing a line\u2014and the experience changes his faith and existence forever.<\/p>\n

Jorge Dorado (The Head<\/em>, Anna<\/em>, El Ministerio del Tiempo<\/em>) is on board to direct. The series will be sold to partners beginning in 2022.<\/p>\n

Dorado commented: \u201cWith Pastor<\/em>, I want to create an overwhelming visual experience to disrupt and move the audience\u2019s conscience. I want Pastor<\/em>\u2019s images to be smelled, and even chewed on, through this journey to the most remote places within the human soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

L\u00f3pez said: \u201cPastor<\/em> is a genre, social conflict and mainly a character-driven story. The tale of a beaten man that gets fed off and decides to fight to improve the lives of his peers. He\u2019s a complex main character, whose questionable behavior makes us wonder if we\u2019re witnessing the rising of a hero or villain.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
