While fighting to keep the company afloat and moving on with their lives without their mother, Charlotte (Val\u00e9rie Blais), Marlene (Marilyse Bourke) and Lucas (Jean-Philippe Perras)\u00a0may not be prepared to learn the truth behind her passing.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioned by Radio-Canada, <em>White Night<\/em> (<em>Nuit Blanche<\/em>) will begin filming this spring. The series is created by Julie Hivon (<em>Alerte Amber<\/em>, <em>Alertes<\/em>) and will be directed by S\u00e9bastien Gagn\u00e9 (<em>Lacher Prise<\/em>, <em>Le Chalet<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Robert Franke, VP of ZDFE.drama at ZDF Enterprises, said: &#8220;A family struggling to cope with an imbalance of power wielded by a person who is no longer alive, interwoven with a murder mystery, makes for a compelling series. <em>White Night<\/em> is an excellent addition to our scripted slate and we look forward to taking it to a wider global audience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dany Meloul, general manager for television at Radio-Canada, said: &#8220;Radio-Canada has a long history of great storytelling by fostering and airing a wide variety of highly acclaimed scripted series reaching Canadian and international audiences. We are therefore delighted by today\u2019s announcement and excited to be working with such partners as Pixcom and ZDF Enterprises.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nicola Merola, executive producer and president of Pixcom, said: &#8220;We are excited Radio-Canada greenlit our recurring series <em>White Night<\/em>, and to start production with ZDF Enterprises as our international partner.
