AMC Networks has revealed a slew of new highlights across its bouquet during its Television Critics Association Press Tour session, including the modern-day Faustian thriller Ragdoll<\/em> for AMC.<\/p>\n From Sid Gentle Films (Killing Eve<\/em>), Ragdoll<\/em> is based on the novel by Daniel Cole. The project will air on AMC in the U.S. and Alibi in the U.K. The pitch-black and darkly witted thriller will be adapted into six parts, with a writing team led by Freddy Syborn (Ms Marvel<\/em>, Bad Education<\/em>).<\/p>\n Also for AMC, the new prime-time animated drama Pantheon<\/em> has added to its cast William Hurt (Black Widow<\/em>, Goliath<\/em>), Maude Apatow (Euphoria<\/em>, The King of Staten Island<\/em>), Corey Stoll (Billions<\/em>, Ant-Man<\/em>) and Lara Pulver (The Angel of Darkness<\/em>, Sherlock<\/em>).<\/p>\n AMC Studios also announced an exclusive, multiyear overall deal with Pantheon<\/em> creator and showrunner Craig Silverstein (Turn<\/em>, Nikita<\/em>, Terra Nova<\/em>) to develop and produce new series for AMC Networks\u2019 Entertainment Group as well as other content companies.<\/p>\n AMC+ acquired the rights to three crime dramas launching exclusively in the U.S. on the new premium streaming bundle service this year. BRON Studios\u2019 and Headline Pictures\u2019 Kin<\/em>, starring Charlie Cox, Clare Dunne and Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones<\/em>), will launch this fall as an AMC+ Original. All3Media International\u2019s psychological thriller Too Close<\/em>, starring Emily Watson (Chernobyl<\/em>), will debut later this year. Lionsgate\u2019s international crime drama Cold Courage<\/em>, starring John Simm (Doctor Who<\/em>), is slated to premiere the first three episodes on March 11.<\/p>\n An Untitled Black Horror Anthology, showcasing stories of Black horror from Black directors and screenwriters, has been greenlit to debut later this year on Shudder and AMC+. Shudder also renewed the hit anthology series Creepshow for a third season of six episodes, set to premiere later this year.<\/p>\n Covenant<\/em>, an anthology series with a contemporary portrayal of classic biblical tales, has been greenlit by ALLBLK, the newly rebranded streaming service focused on Black TV and film from AMC Networks.
