Burdened by guilt, Louise begins to investigate the crime, discovering that everyone has secrets and forbidden emotions. As she starts to suspect that the rapist might be a member of her group of friends, she starts to develop feelings for the mysterious outsider, Thais, who her friends think is guilty of the crime.<\/p>\n<p>Written by Julie Budtz S\u00f8rensen and based on her Danish podcast <em>Det med Liv<\/em> and directed by Nils Holst-Jensen, <em>What About Monica<\/em> stars Filippa Coster-Waldau and Maja Thiele. It is set to premiere exclusively on NENT Group\u2019s Viaplay streaming service later this year. The series is produced by Nimbus Film and filmed in Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>Filippa Wallestam, executive VP and chief content officer at NENT Group, said: \u201cThis series focuses on elucidating the complexity of choices\u2014and related consequences\u2014which makes <em>What About Monica<\/em> a touching portrait of the crucial teenage years, where social life dominates everything.
