It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak and the magic of that one perfect summer.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot was written by Han, who will also showrun with Gabrielle Stanton. Han, Stanton and Karen Rosenfelt will serve as executive producers along with Paul Lee, Nne Ebong and Hope Hartman for wiip.<\/p>\n<p>The eight-episode season will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. It is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The Summer I Turned Pretty<\/em> is many years in the making, and I\u2019m so excited to tell Belly\u2019s story in 2021,\u201d said Han. \u201cFor the longtime book fans, I think it will have been worth the wait.
