Brain Power Studio has optioned the screen adaptation rights to The Fallen Angels Book Club<\/em> series, written by mystery author R. Franklin James.<\/p>\n

The six-book series follows ex-felon paralegal Hollis Morgan, who ended up serving time in prison for her husband’s embezzlement. After serving her sentence, she joins The Fallen\u00a0Angels Book Club, where she finds support and acceptance\u2014until a member turns up murdered. Using her paralegal skills to investigate, Hollis soon finds herself on the wrong side of the police investigation, jeopardizing her chance at a judicial pardon.<\/p>\n

Rhonda Baraka (Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta<\/em>, Bobbi Kristina<\/em>) will write and executive produce The Fallen Angels Book Club<\/em>, along with Beth Stevenson and Nancy Yeaman at Brain Power Studio.<\/p>\n
