Co-produced by Spectrum Originals and the Boat Rocker company Platform One Media, the series is based on the book of the same name by the <em>New York Times<\/em> and <em>USA Today<\/em> best-selling author Hugh Howey.<\/p>\n<p>Following a nine-month exclusive run on Spectrum, <em>Beacon 23<\/em> will be an AMC original with a second window across AMC Networks&#8217; platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Katherine Pope, head of Spectrum Originals, said: \u201c<em>Beacon 23<\/em> is a series in a class all its own\u2014it\u2019s a thriller, it\u2019s a love story, it\u2019s a character drama, it\u2019s a sci-fi exploration of our own interconnectivity and disconnection, and it\u2019s been beautifully adapted by the brilliant Zak Penn.
