ITV has commissioned a new psychological thriller from Two Brothers Pictures, Angela Black<\/em>, starring Golden Globe winner Joanne Froggatt.<\/p>\n

The 6×1-hour psychological drama sees Froggatt (Liar<\/em>, Downton Abbey<\/em>) take on the role of Angela, a suburban housewife whose seemingly perfect life isn\u2019t all it appears to be. Beneath this fa\u00e7ade of charmed domesticity, Angela is also the victim of domestic abuse.<\/p>\n

Michiel Huisman (The Age of Adaline<\/em>, Game of Thrones<\/em>, The Haunting of Hill House<\/em>) has been cast in the role of Angela\u2019s husband Olivier, and BIFA-award winner Samuel Adewunmi (The Hatton Garden Job<\/em>, The Last Tree<\/em>, Stan Lee\u2019s Lucky Man<\/em>) will star as enigmatic stranger Ed.<\/p>\n

Two Brothers Pictures is producing in association with all3media international, and the series is being written by BAFTA-nominated and Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning producers and screenwriters Harry and Jack Williams (The Missing<\/em>, Liar<\/em>, Fleabag<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Froggatt said: \u201cI am honored to be working with Two Brothers Pictures again and this important and timely story from the brilliant Harry and Jack Williams is like nothing I\u2019ve read before. Angela is a complex and intriguing character and I hope audiences will be immediately drawn into her gripping, and sometimes heart-breaking journey, just as I was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Huisman commented: \u201cI\u2019m proud to be part of such a thrilling and clever story with so many twists and turns. I can\u2019t wait to take on the role of Olivier and work alongside the incredibly talented Joanne and Samuel.\u201d<\/p>\n
