Netflix has in the works a new untitled original drama series from the Norwegian production company Motion Blur.<\/p>\n

In the six-episode thriller, Live Hallangen is declared dead\u2014but suddenly wakes up hours later on the forensic table with an urge for blood. Meanwhile, her brother Odd is struggling to keep the family-run funeral home afloat, as not enough people are dying in their small Norwegian town\u2014a problem Live soon realizes that her intensifying thirst for blood can solve.<\/p>\n

Directed by Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid<\/em>, The Pink Panther 2<\/em>) and is written by Petter Holmsen, the Norwegian-language series stars Kathrine Thorborg Johansen, Elias Holmsen S\u00f8rensen, Andr\u00e9e S\u00f8rum, Kim Fairchild, Sarah Khorami and Terje Str\u00f8mdahl. It is slated to launch exclusively on Netflix in 2021.<\/p>\n

Zwart said: \u201cI\u2019m excited to be working with Netflix on this truly original story. We have a great cast, young, talented actors, who all embody the blend of Scandinavian mystique and dark humor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tesha Crawford, director of Nordic original series at Netflix, said: \u201dWe are very happy to embark on our third project with Motion Blur, who have been such great partners to Netflix. Petter created such an intriguing mix of thriller, drama and supernatural elements with this project and we have a lot of trust in Harald and the wider creative team to bring this to the screen.\u201d<\/p>\n
