The Red Room<\/em>, a brand-new drama series produced by OGM Pictures in Turkey, has joined Eccho Rights\u2019 distribution catalog.<\/p>\n

Set in a therapist\u2019s office in Istanbul, The Red Room<\/em> centers on the vulnerable women who pass through to get treatment and handle their traumas and problems. Based on the real experiences of psychiatrist and writer Dr. G\u00fclseren Buday\u0131c\u0131o\u011flu, the episodes are built around the harrowing stories of the patients and follow the team of therapists in the clinic and their own personal issues.<\/p>\n

The deal for The Red Room<\/em> represents the second collaboration between Eccho Rights and OGM Pictures, which together launched My Home My Destiny<\/em> to the international market earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The Red Room<\/em>, starring Binnur Kaya, T\u00fclin \u00d6zen, Burak Sevin\u00e7, Meri\u00e7 Aral and Halit \u00d6zg\u00fcr Sar\u0131 and directed by Cem Karc\u0131, debuted on TV8 on September 4, topping the ratings in the AB commercial demo with 19 percent share.<\/p>\n

Handan \u00d6zkubat, director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, said: \u201cThis is an important series that will speak to women\u2014and men\u2014around the world who can relate to the issues faced by those entering the clinic, as well as the personal stories of the staff that we see developing over the course of the series.\u201d<\/p>\n

Producer Onur G\u00fcnetanam said: “In this series, we will show our audience the effects of childhood experiences, and the way they can shape our future. We are against all physical, sexual and psychological violence.
