Cansu Dere (<em>Anne<\/em>, <em>Sahsiyet<\/em>, <em>Ezel<\/em>) stars in the lead role.<\/p>\n<p>Production begins this month and is set to air on Kanal D in Turkey from October 2020.<\/p>\n<p><em>Doctor Foster<\/em> has been remade in India, France and Russia and, more recently, South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Andre Renaud, senior VP of format sales for BBC Studios, said: \u201cThe story of <em>Doctor Foster<\/em> continues to resonate with audiences around the world, generating discussion about the choices people often face in modern relationships. Gemma Foster is a strong and complex woman and I cannot wait to see Cansu Dere\u2019s interpretation of her story for Turkish viewers. With Medyapim\u2019s stellar track record for quality scripted adaptations in Turkey and the huge appetite for drama locally, I have no doubt that this version of <em>Doctor Foster<\/em> will captivate audiences in Turkey on Kanal D\u2014I hope that this will be the first of many more adaptations in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fatih Aksoy, president of Medyap\u0131m, said: \u201cIt makes me extremely excited to tell the story of a woman who refuses to be a victim of her life and chooses not to surrender. I strongly believe that Cansu Dere, whom I am working with for the second time after <em>Mother<\/em>, will be so successful in bringing this character to life.
