Under their leadership, Playmaker has garnered awards and international critical acclaim with shows such as the Emmy-nominated <em>Slide<\/em> (Foxtel), <em>Reckoning<\/em> (Netflix) and the Mandarin-language version of thriller series <em>Chosen<\/em> (iQiyi).<\/p>\n<p>Maher and Taylor and SPT will continue to co-develop and co-produce a number of projects that they have built up together through Playmaker and, going forward, on a case-by-case basis with new projects that they develop.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne Garvie, president of international production at Sony Pictures Television, said: \u201cAfter 11 highly successful years building Playmaker into a world-class indie, we fully support David\u2019s Maher and Taylor in their decision to go back to working as independent producers, and look forward to working with them in their new capacity while continuing to invest in and build Playmaker under a new management team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maher and Taylor added: \u201cWe\u2019ve loved our time at Playmaker and with Sony Pictures Television, producing over 200 hours of drama we\u2019re immensely proud of.
