AMC Networks\u2019 Acorn TV has commissioned a second season of Ms. Fisher\u2019s Modern Murder Mysteries<\/em>, produced by Every Cloud Productions in association with all3media international.<\/p>\n

Season two of Ms. Fisher\u2019s Modern Murder Mysteries<\/em> will feature eight one-hour mysteries. The Acorn TV original series will begin production in October and exclusively premiere on Acorn TV in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and Australia in 2021. It will subsequently roll out on the Seven Network in Australia. all3media international will manage distribution in the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

The 1960s-set spin-off features Peregrine Fisher (Geraldine Hakewill), Phryne Fisher\u2019s niece who inherited a windfall from her famous aunt, setting out to become a world-class private detective in her own right. Ms. Fisher\u2019s Modern Murder Mysteries<\/em> hails from Fiona Eagger and Deb Cox, creators of the original Miss Fisher\u2019s Murder Mysteries<\/em>. Season one of Ms. Fisher\u2019s Modern Murder Mysteries<\/em> exclusively premiered on Acorn TV as four feature-length installments in the U.S. and Canada in April 2019.<\/p>\n

Don Klees, senior VP of programming for the Acorn brands and the AMC Networks SVOD, said: \u201cAcorn TV viewers loved the first season of Ms. Fisher\u2019s Modern Murder Mysteries<\/em>, so we\u2019re thrilled to commission even more mysteries for our subscribers around the world to enjoy. After the success earlier this year of Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears<\/em>, we\u2019re especially excited to be working again with our friends at Every Cloud Productions and all3media on the highly anticipated return of Geraldine Hakewill as the fun and fashionable 1960s private detective.\u201d<\/p>\n
