The original scripted series\u00a0The Right Stuff<\/em> from National Geographic is slated to premiere this fall on Disney+.<\/p>\n

The Right Stuff<\/em> is produced for National Geographic by Leonardo DiCaprio\u2019s Appian Way and Warner Horizon Scripted Television. The eight-episode series is adapted from Tom Wolfe\u2019s best-selling nonfiction account of the early days of the U.S. space program.<\/p>\n

The story centers on Major John Glenn, a revered test pilot and committed family man with unwavering principles, portrayed by\u00a0Patrick J.\u00a0Adams (Suits<\/em>), and Lieutenant Commander\u00a0Alan Shepard, one of the best test pilots in Navy history, portrayed by\u00a0Jake\u00a0McDorman\u00a0(What We Do in the Shadows<\/em>, Lady Bird<\/em>).<\/p>\n

DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson are executive producers, along with Mark Lafferty (Castle Rock<\/em>, Halt and Catch Fire<\/em>), who is showrunner.<\/p>\n
