Producers Anni Faurbye Fernandez, Moa Westeson and Cindy Hanson have set up the Nordic drama production company Nevis Productions, with investment support from the London-based indie Nevision.<\/p>\n
With offices in Stockholm and Copenhagen, the new venture will create high-end scripted content that appeals to the local Scandinavian markets and a global audience. Nevis Productions\u2019 development slate includes local-language dramas for Sweden and Denmark alongside English-language projects that it will look to co-produce with international partners.<\/p>\n
The company has a broad slate of projects in development, including the dramedy Neighbourhood Watch<\/em> for a Scandinavian broadcaster and a coming-of-age mystery crime series with director Kasper M\u00f8ller-Jensen. Nevis is also collaborating with Sofia Helin (The Bridge<\/em>) and producer Jacob Raben on a high-end geo-political medical thriller Wake written by U.K. writer Jamie Brittain (Skins<\/em>).<\/p>\n Fernandez, who served as producer and CEO at Yellow Bird and producer at Cinenord, counts among her credits Stieg Larsson\u2019s Millennium<\/em> trilogy, David Fincher\u2019s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo<\/em>, Wallander<\/em> (Swedish and British versions), Occupied<\/em>, Wisting<\/em> and Atlantic Crossing<\/em>. Westeson has experience as a feature film producer and co-producer at Breidablick and SF Studios before moving into TV drama while working at Cinenord. Her credits include Vegas<\/em>, the trilogy Jerry Maya\u2019s Detective Agency<\/em>, Atlantic Crossing<\/em> and Veum<\/em>.
