HBO and Rai have ordered a third season of the drama series My Brilliant Friend<\/em>, created by Saverio Costanzo and based on Elena Ferrante\u2019s four-part book series.<\/p>\n

Season three of My Brilliant Friend<\/em>, produced by Fremantle\u2019s The Apartment and Wildside and Fandango, will follow the story in Ferrante\u2019s third book in the series, Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay<\/em>. The eight-episode second season, My Brilliant Friend: The Story of a New Name<\/em>, is set to air its finale in the U.S. on May 4 on HBO.<\/p>\n

Fremantle is the global distributor of My Brilliant Friend<\/em>, in association with Rai Com.<\/p>\n
