Lime Pictures has signed a TV option deal with Lauren Mahon to develop a fictionalized account of her experience with cancer.<\/p>\n
After Mahon was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31, she began sharing the nuances of the experience under the hashtag #GIRLvsCANCER. She went on to become the founder of GIRLvsCANCER and build a community while helping to change the dialogue around the disease. She\u2019s also a part of the multi-award-winning podcast You, Me and The Big C<\/em>.<\/p>\n Louise Sutton, Lime\u2019s head of drama and young adults, said: \u201cLauren is a brilliant woman and her Girl vs Cancer movement has brought together a community of people seeking connection with like-minded souls. We are delighted to be working on bringing Lauren\u2019s unique brand of humor and an incredible story to the screen.\u201d<\/p>\n Mahon added: \u201cI still cannot quite believe that a fictional version of my story is being brought to the screen.
