Moore (<em>Orange Is the New Black<\/em>), <em>Lady Dicks<\/em> offers a fun and frank portrayal of two radically different female detectives in their early 40s. Holly Dale (<em>Batwoman<\/em>, <em>Mary Kills People<\/em>) will direct the premiere episode of the series, which is currently in preproduction and is set to begin shooting in Ontario this spring.<\/p>\n<p>A CBC original series, <em>Lady Dicks<\/em> is produced by Cameron Pictures in association with CBC and NBCUniversal International Studios. NBCUniversal will handle global distribution.<\/p>\n<p>White said: &#8220;After years of friendship and working together, we\u2019re in a great place to dig into a female buddy cop show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cameron added: &#8220;Not only are these characters working high-pressure police cases, but they&#8217;re also grappling with work-life balance, family, ambition and partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sally Catto, general manager of programming for CBC, said: \u201c<em>Lady Dicks<\/em> is an exciting, smart and witty drama brought to life by a team of brilliant women. This series will resonate with audiences across Canada and around the world, and I\u2019m thrilled that CBC will be its home. We are so fortunate to have Meredith MacNeill and Adrienne C. Moore on board to star and look forward to working with Cameron Pictures to bring this series to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Wachtel, president of NBCUniversal International Studios, added: \u201cWe have been desperate to work with Tassie, Sherry and Amy for years now, and we can\u2019t think of a better team to breathe fresh life into the cop genre.
