Treading into the paranormal while remaining rooted in reality, it tells the story of a young woman named Val who returns home to rural Appalachia to investigate her father\u2019s suspicious disappearance.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine Parker (<em>The Haunting of Hill House<\/em>, <em>Lapham Rising<\/em>) stars in <em>Alt<\/em> as Val alongside Sam Anderson (<em>Forrest Gump<\/em>, <em>Water For Elephants<\/em>), Joseph Lee Anderson (<em>Harriet<\/em>, <em>American Soul<\/em>), Travis Hammer (<em>Godless<\/em>, <em>Ray Donovan<\/em>), Shiva Negar (<em>American Assassin<\/em>) and Jan Uddin (<em>Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/em>, <em>Injustice<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Jude Harris, senior VP of development and production at Gunpowder &amp;
