Sky Studios has entered into multiyear development and distribution agreements with the London-based Free@Last TV and Sagafilm, an award-winning Nordic producer.<\/p>\n
Per the deals, Sky Studios\u2019 commercial team will work with each of the production companies to co-develop scripted series for a range of international services. NBCUniversal Global Distribution will handle international sales on the projects.<\/p>\n
Creator of Sky One\u2019s popular Agatha Raisin<\/em> series, Free@Last TV was founded by Barry Ryan and David A. Walton. The company\u2019s slate also includes such dramas as Lonely Boy\u2014The Benny Hill Story<\/em>, Caleb Ranson\u2019s The Women<\/em> and the IP-based project The Flight of the Falcon<\/em>, adapted by Christopher Villiers.<\/p>\n Sagafilm, founded in Iceland more than 40 years ago, is an independent producer of scripted, non-scripted, documentary and factual programming. Its Nordic hits include Stella Bl\u00f3mkvist<\/em>, The Night Shift<\/em> and Case<\/em>;\u00a0and its expanded slate features a raft of major drama and documentary projects at leading European, U.K. and U.S. networks such as The Minister<\/em> and Thin Ice<\/em> in co-production with YellowBird.<\/p>\n Jane Millichip, CCO at Sky Studios, said: \u201cFree@Last and Sagafilm are incredibly smart and creatively distinctive companies.
