Produced by Yetzira Ivrit, <em>Hostages<\/em> follows a renowned surgeon about to perform a routine operation on the President. Her family is taken hostage and she is ordered to sabotage the procedure and kill the President\u2014or her family will die.<\/p>\n<p>Sameer Nair, CEO of Applause Entertainment, said, \u201c<em>Hostages<\/em> has proved to be a breakthrough series for us which not only received commercial acclaim but was also appreciated by the critics. The audiences in India have evolved over a period and they&#8217;re constantly appreciating premium drama series that digital has to offer. <em>Hostages<\/em> as a show had fine performances, an exceptional director with a gripping and crisp narrative and that&#8217;s what the audiences applauded.
