It stars Orla Brady as a single working mother named Kate who is tasked with going undercover to bring the project home and also faces the return of a surfer with an unmistakable resemblance to her teenage son.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Brady, the series features Eileen Walsh, Ger Ryan, Lily Nichol, Steve Wall,\u00a0Kevin J. Ryan, Patrick Bergin and Sam Barrett.<\/p>\n<p>Created by Catherine Maher and written by Maher, Hugh Travers, Hilary Reynolds and Michelle Duffy, <em>The South Westerlies<\/em> is directed by Simon Gibney and Declan Recks.\u00a0The series will premiere in 2020 on RT\u00c9 in Ireland and shortly thereafter on AMC Networks\u2019 streaming service Acorn TV in the U.S. as an Acorn TV original.<\/p>\n<p>Acorn Media Enterprises, with its distributor Acorn Media International, has secured all rights in North America, Australia, New Zealand and the U.K.; and secondary rights in Ireland.
