Development is moving forward on two new scripted series from NV Studios, both based on international best-selling novels.<\/p>\n

Inspired by true events and based on the novel Flight to Destiny<\/em> by Sarah Byrn Rickman, American Valkyries<\/em> tells the story of the women who created a national controversy by flying military aircraft for the U.S. Army Air Force as part of the WASP (Women\u2019s Airforce Service Pilots) and WAFS (Women\u2019s Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron). American Valkyries<\/em> is created by Guershon Moreno and Dave Strauss.<\/p>\n

Molly\u2019s Vice<\/em> is inspired by the real life of convicted MDMA manufacturer Steve Spaliviero, from his autobiography, Narco X<\/em>. A crime procedural, Molly\u2019s Vice<\/em> centers on a mild-mannered Australian auto mechanic, who comes to make it in ’80s LA, beginning a hair-raising, heart-wrenching, coming-of-age adventure as an unlikely career criminal.<\/p>\n

These two productions\u2014and a few other select projects\u2014are currently in development with international partners and will be overseen by NV Studios CEO Damien Brown from the company\u2019s new office in Los Angeles, along with newly appointed Development Executive Luke Field and Witney Tucker. \u201cWe\u2019re not making the transition to scripted\u2014we\u2019re adding more strings to our bow,\u201d said Brown. \u201cWe haven\u2019t taken any shortcuts in the development of these series, instead biding our time for the combination of the right partners, showrunners, creative teams and talent to click into place.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
