Dowling Thriller Tenacity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ITV has commissioned the six-part thriller <em>Tenacity<\/em>, from screenwriter Peter A. Dowling and produced by Bad Wolf and Entertainment One.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by J.S. Law\u2019s novel of the same name, <em>Tenacity<\/em> is created and written by Dowling, whose credits include <em>Flightplan<\/em> and <em>Reasonable Doubt<\/em>. In the series, a dead submariner is discovered aboard the British nuclear submarine Tenacity, and disgraced military detective Danielle \u2018Dan\u2019 Lewis is sent to investigate the accident. When the case turns to murder, it puts her in conflict with Tenacity&#8217;s crew, her Navy superiors and into the crosshairs of an assassin.<\/p>\n<p>ITV\u2019s head of drama, Polly Hill, said: \u201cPeter has written an incredible script with a brilliant and complex heroine leading an investigation that genuinely surprises. I am so delighted to be working with Bad Wolf and Entertainment One on this incredible drama that promises to have an audience hooked from the start. We are excited to have this on ITV and think it will be addictive viewing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dowling added: \u201cI am thrilled to write <em>Tenacity<\/em> for ITV. Their ambition and enthusiasm for the project is hugely exciting and I can&#8217;t think of better collaborators to help bring Lieutenant Dan Lewis to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bad Wolf Co-Founder Julie Gardner said: \u201cJane Tranter and I are delighted to be reunited with Polly Hill at ITV on our first Bad Wolf project together, alongside partners Entertainment One, and to be collaborating with Peter Dowling, a master of suspense, on his first U.K. television series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Polly Williams, eOne\u2019s head of scripted drama, commented: \u201cWe couldn\u2019t have better partners on <em>Tenacity<\/em> than Julie and Bad Wolf, as well as Pete, whose scripts are brilliant.
