Season eight has shattered all records, and once again we are seeing clear differences in global audience demand patterns. In markets like Brazil, for example, we are seeing demand that is relatively depressed, whereas in China in particular we are seeing much less demand than expected. This may well be related to HBO\u2019s focused marketing campaigns, which were omnipresent in the U.S., but perhaps less so in Asia and other markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The study also compared the <em>Game of Thrones<\/em> season eight premiere to the next most in-demand dramas in each market. On the premiere launch day (April 14), Parrot Analytics found that in the U.S., <em>Game of Thrones<\/em> was 8.6 times more in demand than <em>The Walking Dead<\/em>; in the U.K., 7.6 times more in demand than<em> Doctor Who<\/em>; in France, 6.5 times more in demand than <em>The Walking Dead<\/em>; in Germany, 6.2 times more in demand than <em>The Walking Dead<\/em>; in Brazil, 3.3 times more in demand than <em>Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em>; and in China, 10 percent more in demand than <em>The Good Fight<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Out of 100-plus markets measured by Parrot Analytics, Game of Thrones season eight was most in-demand in the U.S. on a per capita basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":350,"featured_media":11177,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[76,70],"tags":[1132],"class_list":["post-11176","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-analysis","category-top-stories","tag-game-of-thrones","pmpro-has-access"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
