{"id":11162,"date":"2019-04-16T09:37:25","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T13:37:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/amazon-gives-hanna-second-season\/"},"modified":"2019-04-16T09:37:25","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T13:37:25","slug":"amazon-gives-hanna-a-second-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvdrama\/amazon-gives-hanna-a-second-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon Gives Hanna a Second Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amazon Prime Video has picked up a second season of its drama <i>Hanna<\/i>,\u00a0based on Joe Wright\u2019s acclaimed 2011 film.<\/p>\n<p><i>Hanna<\/i>\u2019s\u00a0eight-episode first season\u00a0was written by David\u00a0Farr\u00a0(<em>The Night Manager<\/em>), who co-wrote the original feature.\u00a0Farr will be writing season two and serving as executive producer.<\/p>\n<p><i>Hanna<\/i> was produced by NBCUniversal International Studios, Working Title Television and Amazon Studios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe knew we had something unique with <em>Hanna<\/em>, and with the added momentum from its special post-Super Bowl preview, Amazon Prime Video customers worldwide agreed,\u201d said Albert Cheng, co-head of television at Amazon Studios. \u201cSince it debuted only ten days ago, <em>Hanna <\/em>has had a tremendous response, and we\u2019re thrilled with not only how it has performed for us on the service, but with the action-packed world David Farr has created for the series and the stellar cast, led by Esm\u00e9 Creed-Miles, Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman. We\u2019re excited to give fans a chance to see Hanna continue her journey on Amazon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am very much looking forward to taking Hanna on the next stage of her journey,\u201d said Farr. \u201cIt&#8217;s been a wonderful experience so far, and I feel hugely supported by NBCU, Working Title and Amazon. The next season will take us into a whole new imaginative world.
