Dancing Ledge has put together a research team to scout out crime stories that fit the bill.<\/p>\n<p>Dancing Ledge and Lee are in discussions on the project with potential showrunners and will then take the project to market. Dancing Ledge has also recently developed Netflix Original <em>Delhi Crime<\/em>, co-produced <em>The New Pope<\/em> starring Jude Law and John Malkovich, and produced <em>Porters<\/em> for UKTV\u2019s Dave.<\/p>\n<p>Lee, whose work has been published in over 100 territories worldwide and translated into 40 languages, said: \u201cWe all read thrillers and watch movies where an average person goes to extraordinary lengths to defend family or tribe or to seek justice. It turns out that reality goes even further\u2014we have some amazing stories to tell, some of them barely believable, but they&#8217;re all true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Laurence Bowen (<em>The Eichmann Show<\/em>, <em>Delhi Crime<\/em>, <em>Suburban Shootout<\/em>), CEO of Dancing Ledge Productions, added: \u201c<em>Lee Child: True Crime<\/em> will be groundbreaking in the way it marries the magnetic, universal brand of a great author with real-life stories to offer its audience a completely fresh perspective on crime. Jack Reacher is the latest incarnation of an outsider avenger that goes all the way back to Robin Hood, King Arthur and the Lone Ranger. He represents an absolutely universal force, so finding the real-life men and women who have been driven to step outside the normal rules and get justice done in their own way is incredibly exciting.
