SF Studios has picked up the rights to Max Tegmark\u2019s Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence<\/em> for an English-language TV series.<\/p>\n

The adaptation of the New York Times<\/em> best-selling book will follow a group of young scientists working at a startup who discover the first sentient artificial intelligence (AI). Together, the team tries to determine how the AI could best be used to create a better world, but a clash of ideals and morals ensues.<\/p>\n

Fredrik Wikstr\u00f6m Nicastro (Borg\/McEnroe<\/em>, Easy Money<\/em>), the senior VP of international production at SF Studios, will produce the series. Tegmark will serve as a creative consultant.<\/p>\n

Nicastro said: \u201cMax Tegmark has written a completely fresh and mind-blowing take on the awakening of super-intelligent AI and raises one of the coming decades’ most pressing questions: what does the dawn of artificial intelligence really mean for society and the future of humanity?
