McArdle, meanwhile, will play Niall Taylor, a former gang member-turned-grass, who\u2019s in Miranda\u2019s charge. Amy Beth Hayes (<em>Mr Selfridge<\/em>, <em>Black Mirror<\/em>) will guest star in <em>The Mallorca Files\u00a0<\/em>as an author\u2019s widow.<\/p>\n<p>Series regulars include Maria Fern\u00e1ndez-Ache (<em>Holby City<\/em>), who plays Ines Villegas, the Palma Police Chief; and Nacho Aldeguer (<em>Borgia<\/em>), who plays Federico Ramis, a Palma Police pathologist. Tabata Cerezo (<em>The Night Manager<\/em>) and Denis Schmidt (<em>Dark<\/em>) have been cast in recurring roles. Spanish actors Jan Cornet (<em>The Skin We Live In<\/em>), Olga Hueso (<em>Como Ser Feliz Y Disfrutarlo<\/em>), Nur Levi (<em>Punta Escarleta<\/em>) and Pablo Scola (<em>The Man from U.N.C.L.E.<\/em>) will guest star.<\/p>\n<p>Dan McGolpin, controller for BBC programming and daytime, said: \u201cCosmopolitan Pictures and Clerkenwell Films have secured a hugely talented and very exciting cast from across Europe for <em>The Mallorca Files<\/em>. I\u2019m looking forward to seeing more as filming continues and I can\u2019t wait for the series to arrive on BBC One daytime and BBC iPlayer next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Writer and series showrunner, Dan Sefton, added: \u201cOur intention when <em>creating The Mallorca Files\u00a0<\/em>was always to put together a cast from the U.K. and Europe who could authentically reflect the cultural and linguistic diversity of Mallorca. And we couldn\u2019t be more proud of the group of actors we\u2019ve assembled.
