Sky Vision has signed on to co-produce a new English-language crime thriller, Blood<\/em>, with Element 8 Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Blood<\/em> follows three childhood friends\u2014a detective, a lawyer and a convict\u2014as they get caught up in a criminal conspiracy in the city of Amman.\u00a0This agreement will see Sky Vision collaborating with Element 8 to secure a number of co-pro deals on the series with anchor networks around the globe. Sky Vision will also retain the finished and format rights for distribution.<\/p>\n

Blood<\/em> comes from screenwriter Nizar Wattad (The United<\/em>). The 8×60-minute series\u00a0is produced by Laith Majali (Theeb<\/em>) and directed by Oscar nominee Hany Abu-Assad (The Mountain Between Us<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Jason Simms, the director of drama and comedy at Sky Vision, stated: \u201cWe\u2019re so excited to have closed this groundbreaking deal with Element 8 Entertainment for this fantastic new series, and we\u2019re hugely looking forward to introducing Nizar Wattad\u2019s unique and powerful thriller to co-pro partners in the weeks to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
