{"id":2943,"date":"2022-12-01T11:36:05","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T16:36:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/pluto-tv-makes-canadian-debut\/"},"modified":"2022-12-01T14:38:24","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T19:38:24","slug":"pluto-tv-makes-canadian-debut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/pluto-tv-makes-canadian-debut\/","title":{"rendered":"Pluto TV Makes Canadian Debut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pluto TV has launched in Canada in partnership with Corus Entertainment, with more than 110 unique channels and over 20,000 hours of free programming available.<\/p>\n<p>Among the available channels are a slew of single-series channels that stream episodes of shows such as <em>The Love Boat<\/em>, <em>The Ed Sullivan Show<\/em>, <em>The Andy Griffith Show<\/em>, <em>The Carol Burnett Show<\/em>, <em>NCIS<\/em>, <em>48 Hours<\/em>, <em>Forensic Files<\/em>, <em>Unsolved Mysteries<\/em>, <em>Beverly Hills 90210<\/em>,<em> Baywatch<\/em>, <em>Dynasty<\/em>, <em>Shameless UK<\/em>, <em>South Park<\/em>, <em>Frasier<\/em>, <em>Cheers<\/em>, <em>Family Ties<\/em>, <em>King of Queens<\/em> and more.<\/p>\n<p>Other available channels are Pluto TV Crime Drama, featuring hits such as <em>Elementary<\/em> and <em>Hawaii Five-0<\/em>; Pluto TV Retro Crime Drama, which includes<em> Perry Mason<\/em> and <em>Matlock<\/em>; Pluto TV Courtroom, streaming episodes from <em>JAG<\/em>, <em>Judging Amy<\/em> and<em> Instinct<\/em>; Nonstop Drama Channel, with Canadian hits from Corus such as <em>Departure<\/em> and <em>Private Eyes<\/em>; Pluto TV Comedy Channel; and endless children\u2019s channels, including Nick Jr. Pluto TV, featuring <em>Blue\u2019s Clues<\/em> and <em>Wallykazam!<\/em>; Nick Pluto TV, with<em> iCarly<\/em> and <em>Victorious<\/em>; Totally Turtles, dedicated to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Dora TV; Ryan &amp; Friends and more.<\/p>\n<p>Pluto TV also features channels for sports fans and gamers, including BeIN SPORTS XTRA, World Poker Tour, MAV TV Select, Gameplay: Call of Duty, Gameplay: Fortnite and Gameplay: Roblox.<\/p>\n<p>A variety of movie channels organized by genre are available as well. Films that stream on these channels include <em>Ferris Bueller\u2019s Day Off<\/em>, <em>How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days<\/em>, <em>Wayne\u2019s World<\/em>, <em>Grease<\/em>, <em>Terms of Endearment<\/em> and <em>Gladiator<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Pluto TV in Canada also features more than 30 channels dedicated to Canadian content, with six home and DIY channels, four food channels, five kids\u2019 channels and 14 national and local news and opinion channels.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian version of the streamer also offers channels entirely in French, including Dora TV FR, Tortues Ninja TV, South Park FR, Doctor Who FR, Degrassi FR, Alerte \u00e0 Malibu and Les Nouveaux D\u00e9tectives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am thrilled to officially introduce Pluto TV to Canadian audiences, bringing them a fantastic lineup that combines the best of Corus\u2019s Canadian content, Paramount\u2019s deep library and more than 100 third-party partners,\u201d said Olivier Jollet, executive VP and international general manager for Pluto TV. \u201cThe union of Pluto TV and Corus delivers the best of both worlds, debuting a free streaming destination for fans and creating opportunities for advertisers, offering a premium inventory in a brand-safe TV environment.
