The show tackles the highs and lows of life with a severely disabled child with authenticity, sensitivity and humor.<\/p>\n<p><em>About Anthony<\/em> was previously picked up by Gaumont for adaptation. Discussions are also underway with companies in the U.K., U.S., Brazil and Germany.<\/p>\n<p>This original series, featuring ten half-hour episodes, brings together director Podz (<i>Lupin<\/i>, <i>Vikings<\/i>,<i> Cardinal, Mafia inc.<\/i>,<i> Minuit le soir<\/i>,<i> 19-2<\/i>,<i> Three Pines)<\/i> and actor\u00a0Claude Legault. Cathleen Rouleau wrote the scripted series, which is inspired by her own life, while Benoit Pelletier is the script editor.\u00a0Antoine Parent-B\u00e9dard stars, and\u00a0Rouleau, who is Antoine\u2019s stepmother in real life, plays herself in the role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wrote the script with Antoine in mind,\u201d said Rouleau. \u201cBecause of his condition, we couldn\u2019t ask him to act out certain gestures or emotions. Antoine simply had to exist to make this character shine. I wanted people to meet him and get to know this fundamentally unique human being who pushes us all to be better people.
