{"id":2847,"date":"2022-03-01T11:37:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-01T16:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/cbc-renews-son-critch\/"},"modified":"2022-03-01T11:37:00","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T16:37:00","slug":"cbc-renews-son-of-a-critch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/cbc-renews-son-of-a-critch\/","title":{"rendered":"CBC Renews Son of a Critch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CBC has renewed Mark Critch&#8217;s <em>Son of a Critch<\/em> for a second season following its season one debut as the most-watched homegrown comedy in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Project 10 Productions and Take the Shot Productions in association with CBC and Lionsgate Television, the series is based on Critch&#8217;s best-selling memoir <em>Son of a Critch<\/em>, detailing his coming-of-age in St. John&#8217;s, Newfoundland, in the &#8217;80s.<\/p>\n<p>The series was created by Critch (<em>This Hour Has 22 Minutes<\/em>) and Tim McAuliffe (<em>The Office<\/em>, <em>Last Man on Earth<\/em>, <em>MacGruber<\/em>) and produced by <em>Schitt&#8217;s Creek<\/em> Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning producer Andrew Barnsley.<\/p>\n<p><em>Son of a Critch<\/em> debuted in Canada on January 4, ranking as the number-one scripted program on CBC for the 25-54, 18-49 and 18-34 demographics.
