The content creator, producer and distributor Cineflix Media has appointed J.C. Mills to the role of president and commercial director of Cineflix Productions.<\/p>\n
Mills\u2019 mandate as president will be to lead the continued growth of Cineflix Productions through innovative content strategies, building the company\u2019s community of talented creatives and strengthening its relationships with networks and streamers. As commercial director, he will be part of the Cineflix Media executive team, strategically planning and driving new business opportunities across the company. Based in New York, Mills will report to Glen Salzman, co-founder and co-CEO of Cineflix Media.<\/p>\n
Mills previously served as president and general manager of Glass Entertainment Group, expanding its content portfolio to twelve new networks and platforms while producing more than 160 individual episodes during his tenure. These include the mini-series Lincoln: An American President<\/em> (working title) and Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History<\/em> for CNN; the long-running series The Vet Life<\/em> for Animal Planet; the specials Dahmer on Dahmer<\/em>, Kemper on Kemper <\/em>and\u00a0Manson: The Women and Method of a Serial Killer<\/em>, among others, for Oxygen; Desert Flippers<\/em> for HGTV; Heartland Docs, DVM<\/em> for Nat Geo Wild; Pool Kings<\/em> for DIY; and Big Easy Motors<\/em> for History.<\/p>\n Prior to Glass, Mills represented production companies, writers, directors and showrunners of non-fiction content as an agent at ICM Partners\u2014selling over 30 projects across cable TV. As a director of development at National Geographic\u2019s New York office, Mills developed more than 100 hours of on-air content in two years and, at Shine International, he sold formats into the U.K. and EMEA while managing third-party producer relationships.<\/p>\n The hire of Mills comes as Charles Tremayne is moving to a new role within the company as the chair of the Cineflix Content Group\u2014a working alliance of its producers and other creatives.<\/p>\n Salzman said: \u201cWe are delighted J.C. is joining Cineflix.
