Don McDonald, president and CEO of Canada’s Super Channel, is streamlining the company\u2019s executive team, including naming a chief content officer.<\/p>\n
Jackie Pardy, currently director of programming, will be promoted to chief content officer. She will oversee all aspects of content acquisition and development across all four channels, as well as network scheduling.<\/p>\n
Katie Lee will become chief marketing officer, elevated from her current position of director of consumer marketing, and will lead the marketing team, which will now be comprised of on-air promotion, social media, media relations and affiliate marketing.<\/p>\n
Marlene Lone, previously director of affiliate marketing, will see her title changed to chief revenue officer and will be responsible for a newly named revenue department (previously affiliate sales), where the primary focus will be to generate new revenue streams in addition to traditional BDU revenue, including advertising and sponsorship revenue.<\/p>\n
Carol Ljuden, as chief technology officer, will be responsible for all broadcast operations and information technology with the focus on moving Super Channel onto new platforms.<\/p>\n
Rounding out the executive team will be Richard Paradis, business affairs and regulatory, and Lynn Fowler, human resources. A chief financial officer, to be named later, will be the final member of the team. McDonald will assume these responsibilities in the interim until the position is filled.<\/p>\n
All changes are effective today, November 1. No layoffs were associated with the restructuring.<\/p>\n
