{"id":2521,"date":"2019-05-30T11:02:22","date_gmt":"2019-05-30T15:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/family-feud-canada-tallboyz-comedy-cbc-slate\/"},"modified":"2019-05-30T12:08:09","modified_gmt":"2019-05-30T16:08:09","slug":"family-feud-canada-tallboyz-comedy-on-cbc-slate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/family-feud-canada-tallboyz-comedy-on-cbc-slate\/","title":{"rendered":"Family Feud Canada, TallBoyz Comedy on CBC Slate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CBC has unveiled its 2019-2020 roster, which includes a Canadian version of the hit game show <em>Family Feud<\/em>, to be hosted by Gerry Dee.<\/p>\n<p>Arriving in late fall,<em> Family Feud Canada<\/em> will showcase Canadian families from across the country as they compete to guess the most popular answers to fun, family-friendly survey questions from a sample of Canadians.<\/p>\n<p>Other factual-entertainment highlights include <em>Back in Time for Winter<\/em>, based on the audience favorite <em>Back in Time for Dinner<\/em>; <em>Battle of the Blades<\/em>, featuring a high-stakes figure skating competition for charity; <em>Fridge Wars<\/em>, which pits celebrity chefs against one another using only the ingredients found in the families&#8217; kitchens; <em>High Arctic Haulers<\/em>, following shipping crews at sea; and <em>You Can&#8217;t Ask That<\/em>, based on an unscripted format from ABC Australia.<\/p>\n<p>In the way of comedy, <em>TallBoyz<\/em>, featuring four members of the Toronto-based sketch comedy troupe TallBoyz II Men, debuts this fall.<\/p>\n<p>New dramas for the CBC schedule include\u00a0<em>Fortunate Son<\/em>, a spy drama set in the social and political chaos of 1968 from the producers of <em>Heartland<\/em> and the producers of <em>Motive<\/em>. <em>The Sounds<\/em> is a relationship-driven thriller, while <em>The Trickster<\/em> was adapted from the <em>Son of a Trickster<\/em> trilogy of books by Eden Robinson and co-created by Michelle Latimer (<em>Rise<\/em>, <em>The Inconvenient Indian<\/em>) and Tony Elliott (<em>12 Monkeys<\/em>, <em>Orphan Black<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>A new blue-chip documentary series led by Samuel L.
