{"id":2503,"date":"2019-04-06T01:00:01","date_gmt":"2019-04-06T05:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/tvformats\/"},"modified":"2019-04-16T16:04:52","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T20:04:52","slug":"mediapro-to-launch-247-soccer-channel-in-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/mediapro-to-launch-247-soccer-channel-in-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Mediapro to Launch Soccer Channel in Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mediapro, the media partner of Canadian Soccer Business and the Canadian Premier League (CPL), is gearing up to unveil OneSoccer, a 24\/7 live and on-demand streaming channel for the sport.<\/p>\n<p>OneSoccer will air all home matches of Canada Soccer\u2019s women\u2019s and men\u2019s national teams and all 24 matches of the 2019 Canadian Championship involving all professional soccer teams in Canada. A selection of key matches will be simulcast on a national linear broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>The channel will also carry live coverage of all 98 Canadian Premier League matches and the final, including the opening game on April 27 between Forge FC and York 9 FC at Hamilton\u2019s Tim Hortons Field. Beginning in 2020, OneSoccer will also broadcast a selection of League1 Ontario women\u2019s and men\u2019s games.<\/p>\n<p>A wide range of supplementary programming will also be available on the channel, including pre- and post-match highlights, daily news, mid-week magazine shows, interviews and features. The channel\u2019s offerings will expand to cable and satellite television platforms in the near future and will also soon be available on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>Oscar L\u00f3pez, CEO of Mediapro Canada, said: \u201cWe have seen a growing excitement across the country over the past few months as the CPL clubs have built strong inroads into their local communities, and we know that the CPL is going to exceed expectations.
