Eureka! Media, which operates the Canadian English-language SVOD service AeroCinema, has acquired France\u2019s aviation channel Aerostar TV.<\/p>\n

The French-language channel is distributed by France\u2019s three major telephony services: Orange, Free and Bouygues, reaching a user base of over 16 million. The programming ranges from adventure sports flying to historical aviation.<\/p>\n

This acquisition builds on a previous partnership that last year saw AeroCinema and Aerostar TV enter a strategic alliance in the areas of content production and channel distribution, creating the first transatlantic partnership to bring together the producers of original aviation-themed content.<\/p>\n

Bernard Chabbert, one of Aerostar TV\u2019s founders and a celebrity in French aviation, joins the company\u2019s new board. Christian Amara, who created France’s Flying Warbirds, also becomes a member of the board.<\/p>\n
