There will be a total of 15 hours of content each week, branded as BUZZR After Hours. This deal, which was brokered by FremantleMedia International (FMI), marks the first time a U.S. digital multicast network is entering the Canadian market.<\/p>\n<p>Titles to air during BUZZR After Hours include <em>To Tell the Truth<\/em> from 1958 to 1965; <em>What\u2019s My Line<\/em> from 1955 to 1956; <em>I\u2019ve Got a Secret<\/em> from 1961 to 1963; <em>Card Sharks<\/em> with host Jim Perry from 1978 and 1980; <em>Sale of the Century<\/em> with host Jim Perry from 1985; <em>Beat the Clock<\/em> with host Monty Hall from 1979; and <em>Double Dare<\/em> with host Alex Trebek from 1976 to 1977.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBringing our retro game-show programming to YES TV represents the first international expansion of the BUZZR brand,\u201d said Ron Garfield, the executive VP and general manager of BUZZR. \u201cCanadian distribution has been an important goal for building on BUZZR, and we can\u2019t wait for the Canadian viewers to have an opportunity to experience our phenomenal vault of content.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFMI is thrilled to have led the way for a U.S. digital multicast network to establish a presence in Canada for the first time,\u201d noted Susan Hummel, the senior VP of distribution and sales at FremantleMedia International. \u201cYES TV has been a very important partner of ours in the Canadian market and we are excited to offer their viewers the very best in retro game-show content from BUZZR.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBUZZR After Hours is a unique block of curated game-show content that is nostalgic and incredibly fun to watch,\u201d added Rob Sheppard, the director of programming at YES TV. \u201cBUZZR programming experts are known for packaging and branding some of the greatest moments in television game shows.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BURBANK: BUZZR, a vintage game-show network owned by FremantleMedia North America, is slated to become available on YES TV in Canada.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":479,"featured_media":2169,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[248,249,250],"class_list":["post-2168","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-buzzr","tag-fremantlemedia","tag-yes-tv"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
