{"id":2141,"date":"2016-06-09T11:38:05","date_gmt":"2016-06-09T15:38:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/cineflix-media-grows-scripted-team\/"},"modified":"2016-06-09T13:56:07","modified_gmt":"2016-06-09T17:56:07","slug":"cineflix-media-grows-scripted-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/cineflix-media-grows-scripted-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Cineflix Media Grows Scripted Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MONTREAL: Industry veteran Brett Burlock, formerly of Sea to Sky (<em>Ascension<\/em>), has been named senior VP of scripted at Cineflix Media.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role, Burlock will be tasked with sourcing and developing scripted series and MOWs for the U.S. and Canada, as well as for the international market. He will be responsible for developing programming internally and with third-party co-production partners. He will work out of the company\u2019s Toronto office.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Cineflix Media, Burlock served as VP at Sea to Sky, a cross-border studio partnership between Lionsgate Television and Thunderbird Films. Before that, he led scripted development for Take 5 and was the VP of development for CTV. In that role, he oversaw all creative matters and CTV\u2019s original production slate, including U.S. network co-productions <em>The Bridge<\/em> and <em>Flashpoint<\/em> with CBS, and <em>The Borgias<\/em> with Showtime.<\/p>\n<p>Glen Salzman, Cineflix Media\u2019s co-founder and co-CEO, said, \u201cBrett has the reputation for bringing together talented writers and producers to develop and produce must-have series for networks around the globe.
